You stop hearing about outages from customers
Monitoring warns beforehand, not after. That is the difference between fixing and apologising.
Website upkeep
Updates, backups and monitoring are done regularly. You are told when something calls for a decision — not at every detail.

Where you are
A website is not a finished object. It rests on components that keep changing, and that eventually break if nobody follows them. The question is not whether a problem will occur, but who will notice it first.
What changes
Monitoring warns beforehand, not after. That is the difference between fixing and apologising.
A backup never restored is not a backup. We test them.
Most hacked sites are hacked through a hole fixed months earlier and never applied.
A readable report, without jargon, rather than an invoice with no explanation.
Images pile up, the database grows: without upkeep, everything gets slow.
The day something breaks, knowing who to write to beats looking for someone.
What we do
Upkeep is invisible when done well. Here is what it covers in practice.
How we work
Many upkeep contracts advertise daily backups without ever restoring one. A backup nobody has tried to put back is an assumption, not a protection.

Before / after
The change does not show. That is the point: incidents handled before they are visible leave no trace for your visitors.

What you receive
The exact content of the engagement is in the quote, item by item.

Upkeep covers keeping things running, not changes: adding a page, altering a feature or rebuilding the site are separate work, quoted separately. The boundary is written into the contract, to avoid the misunderstanding.

Thanks to Mitch, not only is he a true pro in his field, but he also understands what we want to achieve and why things aren't working... the functionality of my site is fantastic! It's nothing like my old site... I recommend Mitch without hesitation. A huge thank you!
What can I say? An exceptional experience! I didn't think it was possible to create such a simple, clear, and user-friendly website, especially for the administrators. And above all, a huge thank you to the programmer who was able to adapt to my needs and accommodate all my requests for modifications. Truly bespoke. Incredible. Quite frankly, I've worked with developers on more than five application projects, and they all sold ready-made solutions that they then customized. Here, I feel like my every need was truly listened to, and I got THE website I need. A big thank you. My next projects will definitely be with Shavod!
Professionalism, rigor, meticulous work, execution based on listening to the client, and in line with the latest modern tools are the characteristics I would attribute to Shavod. Florian Forté President of the One Movement Association
A pleasant person who is dedicated to his work, available and responsive, he will satisfy your requests with a smile, joy and good humor.
Very serious. Thoughtful. A good team.
Édouard was responsive, efficient, and helpful in developing my app. He guided me through refining the details I was struggling with. I highly recommend him!
I highly recommend Shavod. George-Michael did an excellent job redesigning our website. He quickly understood our needs, proposed relevant solutions, and delivered work that was professional, efficient, and meticulous. Communication was seamless throughout the project, and the result truly met our expectations. Thank you again for your dedication and expertise!
I had the wonderful opportunity to work with Shavod on my art website. I create paintings and wanted to display them in an online gallery (thais.com). I knew he did good work, but I was truly amazed by the result. He did a fantastic job with the colors. The project was completed in less than a month. Shavod is always easy to communicate with. He listens very carefully to the client, which gave me a great sense of freedom. He's very open-minded, and the possibilities are almost limitless. I highly recommend him.
Thanks to Mitch from Shavod for the JavaScript training! He's a very good teacher, clear and effective. I learned a lot in a short time. I highly recommend him!
Mitch enabled me to quickly develop a prototype IoT application (Bluetooth connection). He is attentive and efficient.
I had the pleasure of working with Shavod on several mobile application projects. His professionalism, proactive approach, team spirit, and excellent attitude make him a trustworthy partner. A true pleasure to collaborate with him!
Shavod created our association's website and smartphone app. He took the time to listen to us and fulfill our wishes. He did a superb job—clean, meticulous, and professional. Perfect.
Budget and timing
What weighs: how the site is built — a site with many components takes more following than a simple one — whether there is a shop or a customer area, how often backups run, and the starting condition. That last point is decisive: taking over a site left unattended for three years calls for bringing it up to date, quoted separately from routine upkeep. We establish that before you commit.

Frequently asked
Keeping things running: updates, backups, monitoring, security fixes and reporting. What is not covered: changes. Adding a page, altering a feature, redoing the design are separate work. That boundary is written into the contract, item by item — it is the most frequent source of misunderstanding with this kind of engagement.
Monitoring alerts us, and we act. How fast depends on what the contract says and on the nature of the problem: an update to roll back is quick, an outage at your host does not depend on us. We do not promise a fixed response time without writing it into a contract, because a stated time with no commitment behind it is worth nothing.
Yes, in most cases. We first check it allows what is needed: file access, backups, current versions. Some cheap hosting makes upkeep impossible or very costly — if that is the case, we tell you beforehand, with the options.
Rarely. Bringing it up to date is a job in its own right though, heavier than routine upkeep: accumulated updates cannot be applied all at once without risk. We establish the site's condition, quote the catch-up separately, and upkeep starts afterwards. So you know what you are paying for, and why.
Yes, and many of our clients do. It is complementary: you manage your content, we manage the technical side. Just tell us about significant changes, so we do not mistake them for an incident. If what you are really after is control of your own content, that is a different service.
No security is absolute, and anyone claiming otherwise is mistaken or misleading you. What upkeep does: apply known fixes, limit access, and keep tested backups. The vast majority of hacked sites are hacked through a hole fixed months earlier. That is where the real risk sits, and that is what we address.
The terms are in the contract, and we keep them deliberately simple. On stopping, you keep your access, your backups and your site: nothing is held back. An upkeep provider who makes leaving difficult is a provider worth leaving.
It depends on the agreed rhythm and on what happens. Some months pass with nothing beyond updates and checks; others call for urgent work. The periodic report tells you what was actually done, including when there was nothing to report.
