That is the first question we ask, and sometimes we conclude that it would. Off-the-shelf software costs less, updates itself and lets you leave. Custom work is justified when your way of working is an advantage — and no product fits it without forcing you to change. We look at what exists before proposing to build.
Often yes: the tool complements rather than replaces. It depends on what they allow — some offer a way in for exchanging data, others do not. It is one of the first things we check, because it changes the quote considerably.
That is what we recommend. One feature in service, used by your teams, teaches you in a month what a specification will not. You see what is genuinely missing, and you have committed only part of the budget. The projects that fail are almost always the ones meant to be complete from the outset.
You decide, role by role. A salesperson does not see what an accountant sees, a customer sees only their own case. Those rules are defined with you at scoping, and you can change them afterwards without calling us. Data is hosted in Europe, and you remain responsible for how it is processed.
Yes, it is built for that. The source code belongs to you, the technical pack is written for someone who was not on the project, and nothing is kept at our end. If one day you bring it in-house or change provider, the tool goes with you.
